South Korea-based blockchain game development company Ring Games, founded in 2021 by a team of experienced game developers and blockchain enthusiasts, has announced the highly anticipated release of their Web3 game, Stella Fantasy, on Steam, with a mobile version soon to follow. The news broke during an interview with Ring Games executives and top influencers CryptoStache, Nikki, and Spike at the 3XP Event in Los Angeles. Stella Fantasy, known for its anime-style and thrilling 3D action, boasts a 95% D1 retention rate for NFT holders and an impressive 80% for regular users. The game’s expansion to Steam and mobile platforms is expected to significantly increase Daily Active Users (DAU) and bridge the gap between Web3 and Web2 gaming enthusiasts.

Heroes of Mavia Beta launch revealed 🔥

Vietnam-based blockchain game studio Skrice has announced the forthcoming rollout of its mobile strategy title Heroes of Mavia. The game’s beta launch will be released in three phases, starting with a private access for Land NFT owners on June 30th. The first phase will focus on testing, debugging, and gathering feedback from the community. The second phase will expand access to the larger Mavia community and waitlisted users, running from September 1st to October 31st. The third and final phase, set for early November 2023, will see a global launch on iOS and Android app stores, starting with smaller market countries. The first two beta phases will use an invite code system, and players can earn in-game rewards that can be kept for the real production version of the game.

Newman Capital invests in Openfort, bringing Web3 gaming to the masses 🤝

Newman Capital, a venture capital firm based in Singapore, has announced its investment in Openfort, a blockchain wallet infrastructure startup focused on Web3 gaming. With this investment, Openfort completed its $3 million seed round fundraising, co-led by gumi Cryptos Capital (gCC) and Maven 11, with participation from Game7 and NGC Ventures. Newman Capital aims to drive Web3 adoption among consumers by supporting high-efficiency infrastructures, middleware, and tooling. Openfort's programmable wallet-as-a-service, powered by account abstraction technology, is set to revolutionise Web3 gaming by making it accessible to everyone.
